Service Book Sub Committee
The Service-Book Sub-Committee of Surendranath College gives support and suggestions to the H.C. for the update of Service books of the Full time faculties at the time of retirement as well as at the time of promotion of any faculty.
There exists a whatsapp group comprising all the members of the subcommittee where notices are posted about the meeting for the update of the service books.
After formation of this subcommittee, we met on 22.07.2019 where we had taken information regarding the present status of the service-books of all the incumbents from the then H.C. and accordingly we divided the whole workload among our members for continuous fruitful completion of the jobs.
Total six groups were formed, five groups from teaching members where all the Service books of the full time teaching faculties were allotted for update and one group consisting of the three non-teaching members was allotted the responsibility for the preparation of the service books of all the full time non-teaching staff.
Among these six groups, one convenor Prof. Achintya Biswas was given the responsibility to supervise two teaching groups and one non-teaching group, and Prof. Asok Kumar Das was given the responsibility to supervise the rest three teaching groups.
In the meeting dated 01.02.2022, we agreed to meet at least once per month for updating of all the Service books. But on 28/4/22, the Principal called a meeting where it was decided that all the service books would be written by two staff recommended by H. C. and the committee members would guide them as needed.
